There are Italian proofs on the right of the trigger guard. ![]() The left side of the slide is marked with the Pietro Beretta address while the right has the model designation, caliber, and importer mark in two lines. A Beretta factory letter dated 9 July 1987 states that these pistols were serial numbered C31509Z, C31510Z, and C31514Z through C315138Z (This pistol number C31519Z falls within the aforementioned documented serial range). The pistols supposedly were not delivered in time to actually be issued for the Olympics and all were later sold, other than two, which were retained by Beretta. ![]() 1984, this is one of only 27 Beretta Model 92SBWS pistols manufactured under contract for the Los Angeles Police Department for use at the 1984 Summer Olympics.
